Westhaven, Inc. ("Westhaven Power," "we," "us," or "our") provides residential solar and battery installation services in Northern California and previously operated as Westhaven Solar. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through our websites and related sales, installation, service, monitoring, referral, and communication activities, online and offline.

This policy applies to Westhaven Power's personal information practices described here, including those on westhavenpower.com and our other websites or subdomains that display or link to this policy.

We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. If a change requires additional notice or your consent, we will provide that notice or obtain that consent before applying the change as required by law.

What information do we collect?

We collect information you give us, information someone provides when referring you, and information collected through the website and the technologies described below.

Information you or others provide

Depending on your interaction with us, this includes:

  • Contact and referral information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, cities, messages, and referral details for you and people you refer.
  • Estimates and service requests: Property addresses, homeownership and roof information, average utility bills or bill ranges, financing preferences, system condition, prior installers, and service needs. Quote records include proposed system size and estimated savings.
  • Registrations and feedback: Contact details, guidebook requests, webinar selections, survey responses, comments, and purchase interests or timing.
  • Communication preferences: Your consent choices and supporting records, such as the wording shown, date, time, and available browser or IP information.

Customer and service records

Customer records include utility-bill documents, installation and property photographs, and contracts. These records may be collected or created during sales, installation, service, or communications with us, rather than through a website form. Call recordings and monitoring data are described below.

Some customer calls may be recorded for quality assurance. When recording starts, we provide notice that the call is being recorded. Our phone service provider stores these recordings. We store utility-bill documents, contracts, and installation photographs using customer and project management systems and cloud document-storage providers.

Depending on the system and its available monitoring features, we may collect and retain energy production and consumption data, site status, and equipment alerts to troubleshoot issues and support the performance of systems we install.

Incomplete estimate forms

In our online buying flow, we save the property address and average monthly utility bill submitted for an initial estimate even if you do not complete the later contact form. We use these partial records for analytics, not to contact you. Separately, our tracking tools collect website interactions and estimate events, including bill amounts and estimate details, for analytics and advertising measurement.

Please obtain permission before giving us another person's contact information. A referral does not establish that the referred person has agreed to receive marketing calls or texts from us.

Website activity and advertising information

Our website and its analytics, advertising, and security tools collect online identifiers and information about website activity. This can include IP addresses, browser and device information, cookie and advertising identifiers, pages visited, interactions with the site, referral sources, and advertising or conversion events. Microsoft Clarity also collects interaction data for session recordings, as explained below.

Form submissions include the full page address and available campaign and advertising-click identifiers, which help us understand how you found us.

In California privacy-law terms, these data include identifiers, personal information described in California Civil Code section 1798.80(e), such as your name, address, and phone number in our customer records, commercial information about your property, utility costs, services requested, quotes, contracts, and system details, internet or other electronic network activity information, and audio and visual information, including consented customer-call recordings and property or installation photographs. Categories can overlap. Sources include you, people who refer you, your browser or device, the website tools identified in this policy, and records generated through our customer and service interactions.

Sensitive information

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, passwords, or financial account access credentials through these interactions. Please do not include this information in messages or other open text fields.

Sensitive information needed for financing is submitted directly to independent financing providers. We do not store that information. Those providers' privacy notices describe their collection and use of it.

How do we use your information?

We use contact, referral, property, utility, and service information to respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, manage installations and service, and maintain customer relationships. We use registration and feedback information to deliver requested materials, manage webinars, and improve our services. We use call recordings for quality assurance, monitoring data for system support, and consent records to honor communication choices. Partial estimate records are used for analytics as described above.

We use campaign identifiers and website activity to understand how people find us, attribute inquiries to advertising campaigns, measure advertising results, and improve the website. We use advertising technologies to show relevant ads across other websites and services, subject to your privacy choices. We use security and interaction information to detect bots, prevent spam and advertising click fraud, and protect the site.

We may communicate by email, phone, or text about your request and, where permitted, our services. We do not initiate outreach based on the partial form records described above. Any consent to automated or prerecorded marketing calls or texts is addressed separately in the form's consent language. You do not have to agree to marketing calls or texts to submit a form. You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages or contact us to change your communication preferences.

Who receives information

  • Hosting and cloud infrastructure providers: We use these providers to host websites and support our online services. Depending on the service, they process website activity and information submitted through hosted forms.
  • Form processing, workflow automation, customer management, and internal business software providers: We use these services to receive and route inquiries, maintain records, prepare and manage estimates, coordinate follow-up and service, and manage communication preferences. They process the contact, referral, property, utility-bill, service, quote, feedback, consent, and attribution information relevant to their functions.
  • Document storage and communications providers: These providers store customer and project documents or support our communications. Our phone service provider stores consented customer-call recordings used for quality assurance.
  • Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser, device, and interaction information to protect our forms from automated abuse.
  • Address lookup: When you use address suggestions in our options or buy forms, we send the address search text to Google Places to retrieve suggestions and use the selected place identifier to retrieve address details.
  • Payment and scheduling providers: Our related checkout and booking flows use providers that process contact information, property addresses, and payment or booking information. Our scheduling flow can retrieve your name, email, phone number, property address, and payment status from a completed checkout to help arrange your visit.
  • Analytics, advertising, and fraud prevention: Google, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, and ClickCease receive online identifiers and website activity through their respective tools, for the purposes described in the next section. Their roles and permitted uses depend on the service and applicable terms.
  • Privacy preferences: CookieYes manages cookie and advertising preferences and records the choices associated with your browser.

During the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed identifiers, contact and other customer-record information described in section 1798.80(e), commercial information, and internet activity for business purposes to providers supporting hosting, forms, automation, and customer and internal records. Security and analytics providers receive identifiers and internet activity for the functions described above. Each provider receives the information relevant to the service it performs.

Advertising sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We share contact information, online identifiers, and internet activity with advertising partners to show ads based on activity across different businesses' websites and services. California law calls this "sharing" and may also treat it as a "sale." You can opt out of both.

During the preceding 12 months, we have shared identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners, including Google and Meta, for advertising measurement and cross-context behavioral advertising. The tools from Microsoft and OpenAI are described below. You can opt out through Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or by enabling Global Privacy Control.

Our website advertising tools are configured to use contact information, including email addresses, names, and phone numbers, for matching and advertising measurement, subject to your privacy choices. Our estimate and quiz tracking also includes information such as homeownership responses, utility-bill amounts or ranges, proposed system size, and estimated savings.

During the preceding 12 months, we have also provided names and email addresses from lead or customer lists to Meta to create advertising audiences. These list uploads are separate from website tracking.

How long we keep information

Retention periods vary depending on the information and how we use it. We consider ongoing inquiries and marketing communications, your communication preferences, our customer relationship, installation and service needs, warranty and contractual obligations, and applicable legal requirements. We also consider the need to document consent, honor privacy choices, and resolve disputes.

If you unsubscribe from marketing emails or text messages, we mark your record to stop marketing through that channel unless you opt in again. Unsubscribing does not automatically delete your contact record. You can separately submit a privacy request through the contact channels below.

The browser storage used by our own attribution script lasts for the browser session. Cookie lifetimes appear in the cookie table below. These browser-storage lifetimes do not describe how long submitted forms, CRM records, or information received by our technology partners are retained.

How do cookies and tracking work on this site?

We use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, and browser storage to operate and protect the site, remember privacy choices, understand website use, measure campaigns, and support advertising.

Tools we use

  • Google Tag Manager manages tags on the site, including Google Analytics 4 for analytics and Google Ads for advertising and conversion measurement. Google Ads also uses Conversion Linker cookies to associate visits and conversions with ad clicks.
  • Meta Pixel measures advertising activity, supports advertising audiences and retargeting, and is configured for automatic contact matching as described above.
  • Microsoft Clarity captures website interactions, such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation, and creates heatmaps and session recordings that let us replay how visitors use the site. These are reconstructions of website activity, not webcam or microphone recordings. We use this information to understand and improve the site. Microsoft's collection and use of information are described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • ClickCease detects and helps prevent advertising click fraud.
  • The OpenAI/ChatGPT advertising pixel measures advertising and conversion activity.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile helps distinguish people from automated bots when forms are used.
  • CookieYes manages the site's cookie notice and preference center.

Advertising partners may collect information about your activities over time and across different websites and services, and may combine information received here with information from elsewhere, subject to your choices and their applicable practices.

Campaign information

We store campaign and ad-click identifiers in your browser for the session and carry them through selected links between our websites. These identifiers help us understand the source of inquiries and accompany submitted forms. Tracking tools on the pages you visit may also receive information from page addresses.

Your choices

For US visitors, the site uses a notice-and-opt-out model. Analytics and advertising technologies may operate before you make a choice, unless an existing preference or a recognized opt-out signal requires otherwise.

Use Cookie Preferences or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in the site footer to open the CookieYes preference center. You can change the available settings and opt out of sale or sharing there. Necessary technologies used to operate and protect the site may remain active.

The cookie preferences managed through this page apply to www.westhavenpower.com. You can change them at any time using Cookie Preferences in the footer. Related websites may have separate cookie controls.

We automatically honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of sale or sharing. Enable GPC in a browser or extension that supports it, then visit our site using that browser. The signal applies to the browser and device sending it and, when we can associate it with you, to the personal information associated with you as required by law. Cookie-based choices may need to be renewed if you clear cookies or use a different browser or device. Opting out does not necessarily stop all advertising, but stops the sale or sharing covered by your request.

We honor Global Privacy Control as described above. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, which have no agreed meaning.

The cookie table below provides details about the cookies identified on this site, including their purposes and lifetimes. Browser session storage and information retained in our business systems are described separately in this policy.

If the cookie table does not appear, your browser may be blocking the CookieYes script. You can still manage your choices with the buttons below.

What are your California privacy rights?

California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, where applicable:

  • Know and access: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you, its sources, the purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing it, and the categories of recipients. You can also request information about disclosures for business purposes and sale or sharing. Where required, we provide information in a portable, usable format.
  • Delete: Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions, including information needed to provide requested services or meet legal obligations.
  • Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing: Direct us to stop selling or sharing your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information: Where applicable, restrict uses and disclosures beyond the purposes California law permits without offering this right. We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information through the interactions described above.
  • Equal treatment: Exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

For access, deletion, and correction requests, we verify identity by matching information you provide with information we already maintain. We may ask for additional information when reasonably necessary to protect your information. Please do not send identification documents or sensitive information unless we request them through an appropriate method.

We acknowledge access, deletion, and correction requests within 10 business days and generally respond within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we cannot fulfill all or part of a request, we explain the reason, subject to legal restrictions.

For online advertising choices, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to open our preference center, or enable GPC as described above. We may ask for your signed permission and, for access, deletion, or correction, direct identity verification or confirmation of the agent's authority, subject to California's power-of-attorney rules. Opt-out requests do not require identity verification.
